This product works very well if your looking to extend you motor handle. Very easy to install with all hardware included which allows for different types of applications. I put mine in a Honda 2.3 and it works great! Took FOREVER to get here via FedEx. Buy the product.

I have a 2016 2.3 Honda outboard. The extension handle worked perfect. It stays snug on top of the regular handle and it did not interfere with the throttling motion.
I bought this HelmsMate jointed tiller to use on my Flycraft inflatable for use on both a Honda 2.3 HP and an electric trolling motor. This was a perfect addition to the boat. The seating position of the rowing seat is near mid-boat and using a standard tiller would be nearly impossible. This extended model makes that adjustment easy. A bonus is the ball joint that is positioned just in front of the connection. Instead of swinging the tiller to steer, a simple wrist flex and slight side movement allows direction changes. Nothing could be simpler. A well-designed boat deserves well designed equipment. This tiller is a homerun.
I ordered the short extension handle for my Mercury troller, but the extension handle was too large to grip the tiller... I contacted the company through the website, received a response within MINUTES, and the fix is on it's way. Awesome service !!
I have a hand operated 55 LB thrust trolling motor designed for a transom but mounted on the bow of my 14' jon boat. Using this extension handle allows me to operate the troller from anywhere in the front part of the boat. Perfect solution for a problem and the tool is not only well designed but sturdy enough to hold up to rough use. This will work great on my trolling tiller. Abs but it seems solid and durable.
